You made it. Welcome to Polaris Academy. This space is built for people who
care about recovery, community health, and supporting others through our
personal experiences. Before we jump in, this module will help you get
focused, organized, and clear on what to expect.
Think of this as your home base. Any time you feel confused about the
portal, certification steps, or how to make the most of this training, you can
come back here.
In this module, you’ll:
- Learn how to navigate the learning portal.

Get a simple dictionary of key terms that we will discuss throughout the
program. - Learn how to use NotebookLM to study any topic further.
- Get tips for certification, career pathways, and next steps after training.
- Walk through a final checklist to make sure you’re ready for week 1.
You don’t have to memorize everything right now. Just move through each
section, take what you need, and reach out for support if you get stuck.
Important: How to move through this course

The list on the left side of your screen shows all the lessons in
this module. - You move through lessons one at a time by completing each one.

When you finish a lesson, you must click the
“I have completed this lesson” button at the bottom of the page. -
Clicking that button unlocks the next lesson and updates your
progress. -
You can move to the next lesson by clicking “Next” on the bottom right
corner or by selecting the following lesson in the list on the left side
of your screen.
If you don’t click the completion button, you won’t be able to see the next
lesson or assignment.
